Haile Resort Hawassa is a lakeside resort on the shore of Lake Hawassa, opened in 2010 by Ethiopian running great Haile Gebrselassie as the first hotel in his Haile Resorts group. It has more than a hundred rooms, most with lake or garden views, along with several restaurants, a swimming pool, a spa and a gym. Guests can also take morning boat trips on the lake to see hippos and birds.
