Profile
Addis in Cape is an Ethiopian restaurant in the Cape Town city centre, opened in 2007 by Senait Mekonnen, who grew up in Addis Ababa. After fifteen years on Church Street it moved to 168 Loop Street, where it serves shared injera platters with many vegan dishes. Meals come with a hand washing ritual and a traditional coffee ceremony, and the restaurant also runs coffee roasting and injera making workshops.
