In preparing the list, we have researched and cross-referenced multiple sources, including Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, industry insiders, media reports and others. Because of lack of corporate transparency in Ethiopia, despite our best effort to be as accurate as possible, we may have left out some companies.

The lists are not mentioned the real figure. Because EFFORT didn’t mentioned on the lists but it’s the bigger and more competent with Midroc company. The EFFORT never to mentioned and registered its fact income figure as a company. It contains more than 25 sister companies like Messebo (mentioned on the list), Alemeda Textile, Mesfin Industrial engineering,Trans Ethiopia, Adigrat pharmaceuticals industry,Guna general Trading,Wegagen Bank, Sur Construction,…the like huge companies. The source of the capital is only politics.The owner of this huge EFFORT is TPLF (Tigray people Liberation Front), the earlier gorilla fitters and governor party of Ethiopia and leads by TPLF elites. Even the resource and income is more than MIDROC Ethiopia. So where is the name of this company on the list?

It is good start but mis-leading…you can easily have all the banks revenue from the news papers as it is a public information and you have only mention only two banks…most of the banks revenue is far more than most of the top 20 and the list would be only banks…

As we receive additional data from various sources and feedback from readers, we will update and improve it. We have already made some improvements and corrections since it was published yesterday.
Many of you have asked about the Endowment Fund for the Rehabilitation of Tigray (EFFORT), a group of several enterprises. The latest information we have is that EFFORT is not a private or share company that pays tax, as it is reported to be a non-profit company. That is why it is not included in the list.

Good job! It’s really hard to know exactly how much big companies make, sometimes you just have estimate with the best of your abilities. Even Forbes List have a hard time as some of these corporations have ways to hide their money. I think you can improve as you keep digging more and make all these information public. It’s good for competition, it’s good for everyone.

Hello Guys, the writers notify us companies were graded according to or based on their annual revenue. That is clear thing for any lay man , you do not need to mentioned asset and capital things. For instance one guy in above mentioned and argued why newly established hotels were not in the list. Those kind of hotels have not started to earn such amount. so it doesn’t make the study useless. In my opinion the above facts lacks , big coffee exporters , banks and insurance companies

Everything will definitely be sorted out when the government for the people by the people established by the people of Ethiopia. Ethiopians know very well who is who and who does what it does, and as well as what is left for Ethiopians, the main questions to be asked before and after the democratic government is into being by Ethiopians. The Robbers came into Ethiopia for domination, on both economic and political power. In 1991, the robbers came into Ethiopia with a lot of guns and bullets to loot and murder Ethiopians. They then spread banda culture as they did deadly diseases among the population in clandestine and in the open by using all kinds of methods of delivery, and then spread themselves into towns, cities, villages, and then crossed the neighbourhoods and broke into homes and vandalized the lives of families.

Accordingly, they soon established two economic system, one for themselves, the other one for the more than 90 million Ethiopians. Every robber in the family has assets and money worth millions of dollars currently active in both outside and inside our country. The late robber, Melses Zenawi left stolen money from the public in the mount of 5 billion dollars to his three children and his widower, although the widower herself has millions of dollars in stolen money from Ethiopians.
The members of the gangs have actively engaged in doing illegal business and black-marketing from which they netted millions of dollars in addition to selling babies, children, young girls, boy, and women of all ages to marketers and customers in the middle east and elsewhere has profited millions of dollars and caused huge lose on the country and people ,and incurred gigantic cost on Ethiopians in multiple billions of dollars.
How long have had Ethiopians fought against this enemy is a paradigm that directs all Ethiopians to the next level of struggle with one goal in mind, which is to restrain the robbers to where they are now, and make them spit up whatever everything and anything swallowed up for the last twenty two years.
