Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia treats women with obstetric fistula, a childbirth injury, at its Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital and five regional hospitals. It was founded more than 65 years ago by the Australian surgeons Dr Catherine Hamlin and Dr Reg Hamlin. It also runs the Hamlin College of Midwives, supports more than 90 rural midwifery clinics and runs the Desta Mender rehabilitation centre.
