Los Angeles

Los Angeles is home to Little Ethiopia, the stretch of Fairfax Avenue between Olympic Boulevard and Pico Boulevard. On August 7, 2002, the Los Angeles City Council adopted a motion designating that part of Fairfax Avenue as “Little Ethiopia”, noting a large recent influx of Ethiopian businesses and residents there (Council File 02-1641). The community celebrated the new name with a street festival on November 24, 2002, Tadias Magazine reported.

Eight of the Los Angeles listings below have addresses on South Fairfax Avenue. This hub also covers Ethiopian businesses and churches in nearby cities in the wider metro area, including Inglewood and Anaheim.

Use this page to find Ethiopian restaurants and cafes, a market, churches and other community listings. Phone numbers and opening hours can change, so please check with a business before you visit.
